Upgrading from Release 2.X to 3.0.0 (wip)
With release 3.0.0 we are introducing a new Write-Back Manager.
1 - Follow steps 0, 1 and 2 from the standard upgrade above.
2 - Install the new 3.0.0 version
3 - Go through the manager configuration and use the config.yml and sites you saved to help you
4 - Update the metadata
We are improving the metadata by adding a new column to the metadata tables. This column is the information about the Write-Back site. This will allow you to filter the metadata for the Write-Back site (the audit data for instance) but also will enable the Power User to only see the relevant datasets for the site when loading one with our Load Dataset feature. To facilitate the update process we have it so you will only need to update the widget_configuration table. In order to do so, you need to go through a manual process of updating the rows by inserting the proper extension site name into the column.
If you are not using sites then you simply need to update with the value 'default' for all the metadata rows.
Otherwise, you need to correctly assign the extension site to the dataset metadata row.
After you fulfill this table, restart the server and Write-Back should automatically pick up this information and update the remaining tables accordingly.
